Absolutely not, don’t get too caught up on which service to choose. We can decide together during the first part of your initial appointment where I will further assess your needs/wants to make sure we customize the procedure accordingly. Some people that decide on and follow through with Microblading decide they want more definition and a bit bolder look, where we can add on in the touch up session!
This is a service much like your hairdresser, nail tech, massage therapist where tipping is customary. Tipping is never expected but ALWAYS appreciated, it is completely up to your discretion!
At your appointment, you will be greeted at the door, make sure you’ve hydrated and used the restroom, then you will be guided to the clinic room. We will check your valid ID and follow up on your consent form the application process, then proceed with taking photos and talking about your inspiration and pain points.
The goal is to create a symmetrical, softly arched brow to accentuate the face and open up the eyes. You will be listened to carefully and your input will be taken constructively to craft your blueprint/predraw design carefully. The mapping process averages 1.5 hrs and Kim likes to take her time to ensure your comfort, communicates clearly and delivers a quality experience.
Pigment color and cosmetic tattooing techniques are implemented case by case, based on your skin type, Fitzpatrick Skin Type, hair color, and brow preferences. We work together to achieve the best brow for you! As an experienced cosmetic tattoo artist, Kim has your best results in mind and strives to achieve beautiful natural looking results!
Using experience and measuring tools/techniques, assessments of your skin and brow grade according to bone structure, face shape, muscle placement, natural hair color, growth patterns and overall appearance will nalize your blueprint/predraw design. Your thorough consultation continues with a mapping procedure, where you are encouraged to be brutally honest with your critique. Any discrepancies/concerns will be addressed accordingly.
With your green light, we execute on the approved blueprint/predraw applying a topical medical grade numbing cream for approx. 20min, covered with a film to lock out the oxygen and allow for the most effective results. Kim uses her cosmetology/color theory background to aid in the color selection process, utilizing only high quality FDA approved pigments to formulate your color to perfectly compliment you. Your outline is now infused by your customized pigment formula into the skin to simulate the appearance of either hairstrokes or lled in brow depending on your service. Finishing up with your aftercare review and confirmation of your 2nd session!
See below for detailed breakdown:

$100 Booking Fee/Deposit/Prepayment will go towards your service total.
Your follow-up appointment is scheduled within 6-10 weeks of your initial service. It is an assessment of your pigment retention and allows for any additional adjustments, like going thicker in shape, darker in color, or adding shading/definition. If you loved what we did, we will simply go over and reestablish the existing hairstrokes, boosting the color to ensure longevity and satisfactory results. This process is typically much quicker than the initial session and is concluded with some after photos.
I know this will sound crazy but I've had clients fall asleep and say it’s actually quite relaxing! But of course, pain is subjective and everyone is different. On average, my clients have rated it on 1-3 on a pain scale of 1-10, with minimal to almost no pain at all! Menstrual cycles also affect level of sensitivity. It is recommended to book your appointment for a date that avoids menstruation. Most women just before, have a lower pain tolerance at this time. We use FDA approved numbing agents to prevent pain, help ease any nerves and ensure a comfortable/enjoyable experience.
This can be booked seperately if you'd like to make sure we're a good fit! I make sure consultations are a part of your booked service! Once you arrive, your artist will discuss your brow goals, your ideal shape and color, and your skin type in order to create your customized blueprint/predraw design just for you! Once you approve, they will begin on your initial cosmetic tattoo using the techniques discussed.
Your initial appointment is scheduled for
3hrs, the follow-up appointment takes 1.5-2 hrs, additional touch-ups 2hrs. The mapping process is the longest part of the initial appointment, it serves as your consultation and blueprint to the rest of your service!
There is no downtime! However the brow will take one to two weeks to fully heal. Pigment will soften in color by up to 20-40% and shrink in size. During this period, after-care procedures should be carefully followed. It is recommended to avoid sun exposure, profuse sweating, and submerging your face in bodies of water for two weeks following your appointment for the best results.
Avoid alcohol and excessive caffeine the day (24hrs) before your appointment. Blood thinning medications such as Aspirin, Excedrin, Ibuprofen and Advil should be avoided unless prescribed by a doctor. Please map directions to the clinic. I have a strict 15 minute late policy, so please plan accordingly!
It’s pretty simple really! Microblading creates the illusion of hairstrokes. Honored when people ask if it’s a “hair implant”....but no, it’s the art of mimicking it realistically.
Nano Brows are also hairstrokes, just etched inwith a machine instead of manual tool like microblading.
Ombre brows implement shade softly much like a pencil or pomade. Combo Brows is a combination of the two- think “if you had nice brows, and filled them in with a little pomade or pencil”.
14 months to 3+ years from your last session. A Refresher (reserved for existing clients) would be scheduled. We recommend not exceeding 1 session per year to maintain the integrity and health of your skin and the natural look of your healed brows. A $100 non refundable booking fee is taken at the time of booking your appointment and will be deducted from the total cost of the service.
*Keep in mind, this is an ‘as needed’ basis, rather than an exact time frame. Pigment should be at least 40-50% faded before having a Refresher done. If your service results have not faded enough, Kim will suggest you wait longer. The skin needs the pigment to fade out to allow new pigment to be implanted. The more faded, the better long term results you will have. Too frequent touch ups will create a solid and blocky brow over time, and we want to keep your skin’s integrity resulting in a more beautiful, softer and natural look.
In the hours following your procedure, it feels like a sunburn-tight and some soreness. Expect appearance to be 30-40% darker and bolder than your nal healed result due to oxidation in the surface layer of your skin. They could also appear warmer in color. You may experience some redness or swelling around the treated area, this typically disappears within 48 hours.
Yes! All Permanent Cosmetic procedures require 2 sessions. During your follow-up we can assess your pigment retention and make any adjustments needed. This follow-up also increases the longevity of your Semi-Permanent Cosmetics.
On average, it takes most clients roughly 10-14 days to be considered “healed”. Click here for aftercare info and more information on protocols and the healing process.
Cosmetic tattoo procedures are meant to have a soft and natural appearance, and are based on your natural Fitzpatrick Skin Type, skin undertones, and natural eyebrow hair color. With very fair skin tones, there can be limitations with how dark your cosmetic tattoo pigment can be, it’s important to not go too dark with the pigment to keep the natural and soft look of the cosmetic tattooed brow. These are factors to consider when thinking of having your eyebrows tattooed, as your cosmetic tattoo may not provide the same exact result as your makeup does especially if you’re using a very dark color and a bolder make up product such as a brow pomade and pencils.
This is not meant to mimic “makeup-ey looks”. Pigment selection is selected according to the Fitzpatrick Skin Type scale which follows skin undertones, and natural hair color. This helps keep the brows from healing too dark and/or ashy in the skin, which would give more of a fake tattoo look to the brows.
Cosmetic tattooing comes with limitations and restrictions to achieve the best results. With your investment in mind, please review the Before and After Care instructions to ensure your appointment is scheduled thoughtfully.
Special Occasions: It is best to have your brows complete (your Initial Session & Follow-Up Appointment 6-12 weeks after) at least 1 month before a special occasion like a wedding. This allows time for both sessions to be fully healed before your big day!
Vacations/Tropical climates: It is best to have your brows done a minimum of 2 weeks before a tropical vacation or trip to warmer climates.. 2 weeks after, your brows will be fully healed on a superficial level - that allows you to wear SPF over them and your swimming/ sweating restrictions are lifted! Healing time can take anywhere from 10 - 14 days after your Initial and Follow-Up-Appointment sessions.

The procedure is a meticulous process, requiring at least two sessions with proper before and aftercare in order to achieve desired result. Please note that final results CANNOT be guaranteed as everyone retains and breakdowns pigments differently. A follow-up-appointment is required within 6-10 weeks after your first initial appointment in order to access your pigment retention and address the necessary changes to ensure the best results possible. People with sparse eyebrows, oily skin, lighter hair or correction work may require more than one follow-up session in order to reach their desired goal at an additional cost. Especially if the client is noncompliant with provided before and after procedures, results will be less than satisfactory.
